Many beginners to bondage ask me how to get started. My advice is always to go and visit the best bondage store in Australia: Bunnings.
Bunnings is a hardware chain – probably similar to Home Depot in America. It is absolutely the best place to get started.
The only specialist piece of bondage gear that I would suggest that beginners go and get is a really good pair of leather wrist cuffs. Make sure they are comfortable and soft. Handcuffs might sound like a good idea but most of the ones for sale can be cheap and nasty. A good pair of leather wrist cuffs will last you for years and years. I still have my first pair, although as I’ve had them since I was 22, it’s probably time to retire them and get them framed.
Go and spend fifty dollars at a hardware store and you can have a lot of adventures.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be going through some of the gear you can get at your local hardware store and how to have fun with it, including:
- Cling wrap
- Pegs
- Tape
- Chains
- Carabenas
- Double ended clips
- Rope
- Curtain sash
- Clamps
- Paintbrushes
- Gas masks
- Dust masks
- Trade uniforms
- Gloves
- Candles
- Funnels
- Rubber tubes
- Drop sheets
- Nuts and bolts
- Garden stakes
- Miniature garden tools
- Rope cutters
- Heavy weights
- And much much more….
There are an extraordinary number of gay boys who work there as well. I’ve fucked at least three of them – and they’ve all been fantastic down to earth guys who love gear and kink.
