The chain has a long history in human restraint.  A heavy length of shiny stainless steel chain is unmistakably modern yet somehow linked to the slaves of ancient Rome, the prisoners of medieval times and the convicts of the eighteen century. When buying chain from your local hardware store close your eyes and run it through your fingers. It should be clean and smooth and not have any sharp edges or rough patches. It is worth paying a decent amount of money for smooth chain with large links. If you get chain with small links then you risk not being able to attach other things to it easy. Happy End of Financial Year

In Australia the end of the financial year is on the 30th of June – and I’ve taken the opportunity to stock up on various implements in the end of year stock-take sales. Including tape. I bought a great box of coloured tape – 36 rolls in purple, red, orange and green. I’m looking forward to having some serious fun with it. And a tip for beginners – wrap the boy in a layer of cling wrap first, before you put on the tape. Apart from ensuring that hair doesn’t get ripped out by the root when you remove it – it also ensures you don’t get a rash or allergic reaction. Safety first. Hopefully I’ll be able to post some pics of this tape again – only wrapped around a twink or two....
